Why prompt sync matters more than it sounds
AI work is multi-device by nature: you capture a prompt idea on your iPhone in a queue, refine it on your iPad on the couch, and actually run it on your Mac at your desk. If your prompt collection lives in one device's notes app — or worse, in one browser's extension — every device switch is a copy-paste tax. Eventually you stop bothering, and the library rots.
Two ways apps sync — and why it matters for your prompts
- Account-based sync: you sign up, and your prompts are stored on the company's servers. It works, but your client names, code snippets and business ideas now live in someone else's database, subject to their security and their business model.
- iCloud sync (what Vault uses): the app stores your library in your private iCloud account. No signup, no third-party server, nothing for the developer to see, lose or sell. Apple encrypts the data in transit and at rest, and it's simply there on every device signed into your Apple ID.

How to set up synced prompts with Vault (under a minute)
- Install Vault: AI Prompt Library on your iPhone — and on your iPad and Mac.
- Make sure each device is signed into the same Apple ID with iCloud Drive enabled (Settings → your name → iCloud). That's the default on virtually every Apple device.
- There is no step three. Save a prompt anywhere; it appears everywhere. Edits, tags, favourites and template variables all sync too.

Troubleshooting sync
If a prompt hasn't appeared on another device yet: check both devices use the same Apple ID, confirm iCloud Drive is on for Vault (Settings → Apple ID → iCloud → Saved to iCloud), and give it a moment on a network connection — CloudKit batches changes to save battery.
